November 10- Lt. Col. Steve Martin, 751st Battalion Commander, Kentucky Army National Guard
LEXINGTON, KY – The Rotary Club of Lexington held its weekly meeting Thursday, November 10, at the Mane on Main, Chase Bank building on Main St. The program’s guest speaker was Lt. Col. Steve Martin, 751st Battalion Commander, Kentucky Army National Guard.

Lt. Col. Steve Martin is a native of Versailles, Ky. He’s married to Nicole Martin and currently live in Versailles. They have two children in high school Elijah and Kylie. Lt. Col. Martin began his military career when he enlisted in the 1-623rd Field Artillery Battalion in Glasgow, Ky in 1999. He received his commission as a second lieutenant through Western Kentucky University’s “Hilltopper Battalion” ROTC program in 2005 as an Army Aviator.
LTC Martin has 23 years of military service and has served in numerous command and staff positions at the Company, Battalion and Brigade level, including Company Command, Brigade S3 and Battalion Command of the 751st Aviation Battalion.
He is a senior army aviator with more than 1,500 hours in the UH60 Blackhawk, CH47 Chinook and UH72 Lakota. His past deployments include Operation Enduring Freedom (Kosovo) and Operation Enduring Freedom / Operation Freedom’s Sentinel (Afghanistan).
He has completed the Command and General Staff College and received his Master’s Degree in Strategic Communications from Liberty University. LTC Martin also works full-time for the Kentucky National Guard as the Army Aviation Support Facility Commander in Frankfort, Ky where he oversees all of the maintenance and aviation training requirements for the army aviation enterprise.
