LEXINGTON, KY – The Rotary Club of Lexington held its weekly meeting Thursday, August 3rd,  at Fasig-Tipton, 2400 Newtown Pike. The program’s guest speaker was Shirrod Le’Det, Board Chair of the North Limestone Development CDC, also called NOLI CDC

Shirrod Le’Det is the Chief Operations Officer at Total Grace Church, Lexington, KY.  He received his B.S from Sullivan University and completed an Executive MBA from Strayer University- the Jack Welch Management Institute Program in June 2017 with honors.

His professional career began as a package handler at FedEx Ground in Lexington, KY.  Within three years, Le’Det received a promotion to dock manager, supervising fifteen to thirty employees.  After receiving his B.S from Sullivan in 2006, he was offered a position at the corporate headquarters in Moon Township, PA as a support engineer.  Within two years, he was asked to join the development engineer team where Le’Det led several projects and received various awards for exceeding project expectations.  In 2010, he accepted a position at the Northern Kentucky Hub as an Industrial Engineer (IE).  In November of 2011, Le’Det made a personal and career decision that would change his life and would require him to leave FedEx Ground, Inc.

After a fifteen-year career as a supervisor and engineer there, he became very involved at his local church, Total Grace.  Volunteering for three months, Le’Det was offered a position as the Director of Family Resources that would serve the needs of the community through programming and partnerships with other community-serving organizations.  In April 2013, the Chief Operations Officer position was available and Le’Det was asked to assume this role, in which he accepted.  In addition to running the day to day business operations of Total Grace, Le’Det is the Executive Director/CEO of the Total Grace Family Resource Center, Inc. a 501 c 3 nonprofit entity designed to serve the needs of the community on North Limestone and the Lexington area. Le’Det accepted his calling to preach the Gospel as a licensed Minister.  He currently resides in Georgetown, KY with his wife, Shanita, and two daughters, Lydia and Lauren.
