Milestone Fundraiser Returns Saturday, May 30 at The Carrick House
Lexington, KY (February 18, 2026) – The Rotary Club of Lexington is proud to announce the 15th annual Dancing with the Lexington Stars, its signature fundraising event, returning Saturday, May 30, 2026, at The Carrick House in downtown Lexington.
Now celebrating 15 years of impact, the high-energy evening pairs local community leaders with professional dance partners for an unforgettable night of entertainment, all in support of Rotary’s long-standing commitment to service across Central Kentucky.
Since its inception, Dancing with the Lexington Stars has raised more than $2 million to benefit local nonprofits, educational initiatives, and Rotary service projects.
“Fifteen years ago, we launched Dancing with the Lexington Stars as a fun and innovative way to support our community,” said Peggy Trafton, Executive Director of the Rotary Club of Lexington. “What began as a creative fundraiser has grown into one of Lexington’s most anticipated annual events. We’re excited to celebrate this milestone year with nine incredible celebrity dancers who are ready to step onto the floor and make a difference.”
This year’s competition will feature nine celebrity-pro dance pairs, each competing for the coveted Mirror Ball Trophy while rallying votes and donations in support of Rotary’s charitable initiatives.
The evening will include a VIP dinner experience, live judging from local personalities, audience participation, and dynamic performances that showcase weeks of training and dedication.
“Dancing with the Lexington Stars embodies the heart of Rotary, bringing people together for a greater purpose,” said Bret Anderson, Past President of the Rotary Club of Lexington and DWLS Co-Chair. “It’s inspiring to see our community leaders step outside their comfort zones to raise funds that directly impact organizations and families across Central Kentucky.”
“Reaching our 15th year is a testament to the incredible support of this community and the dedication of our volunteers,” said Kim Johnson, Past President of the Rotary Club of Lexington and Co-Chair of Dancing with the Lexington Stars. “Dancing with the Lexington Stars has become more than an event, it’s a celebration of generosity, leadership, and the power of service.”
The event is presented in partnership with Arthur Murray Dance Studio Kentucky, whose professional instructors train and perform alongside the celebrity dancers.
“Each year, we watch participants transform from first-time dancers into confident performers,” said Hunter Lisle, CEO of Arthur Murray Dance Studio Kentucky. “This event celebrates courage, growth, and community, and we’re honored to be part of its 15-year legacy.”
